Toxic
He called her pretty the night before
Scaling her innocence like never before
The joy that filled up hearts yesterday
Was torn to rags at the dawn of day.

His speeches were just a tip of ice-
That pierced and froze her dying dreams
Now she lay on a bed of sin
Awaiting death with this secret.

Her so called friends had urged her out
Her parents seem to want her socialize
Reluctantly she left her peace
Into a darkness taunting her soul.

The clubhouse was so new to her
Like an alien he sensed her being
Prying upon her reticence
He broke the code of brotherhood.

He bought a drink and gave a wink
Tipped away the bar tender
She drank it down with confidence
Asking for another shot.

Tipsy enough he helped her up
And guided her across the room
Her weaker legs could hold no more
Her mind so smart could think no more.

She looked behind to see her friends
But realized they were cheering on
Suddenly her heart sank deep
This friendship was nothing but toxic!
