Is it a crime to love you
To want to be with you?
Was I wrong to stick with you
To love no one else but only you?

Why do you play with my love
Was I wrong to trust like a dove?
Did I err by committing to you
Reserving myself just for you?

You abuse me & show no respect
Treating me like I'm your pet
Taking advantage of my devotion
Like its a crime to show emotion

I laid out my heart, but you stepped on it
I opened my soul, but you just pee'd on it

My eyes now open, I use my pen
To express a love that has no gain
I've been patient but now I know
You won't change so I have to go

Your engagement ring I return to you,
And stop this pain before I say "I do!"
