Abused profusely
This four letter word is getting me dizzy.
It's a verb they say, some treat it as a noun,
Please, dont get me started, I ain't no clown.
Love has beaten me too many times before,
Love has left me stranded, at my own front door.
A hopeless romantic, happy endings are the best,
But, as soon as I see some hope, things go west.
Love is lovely, this I know is true,
But rejection keeps me grounded and most times blue.
Like water from a waterfall that keeps flowing,
Like a seed that is planted, it keeps growing.
Like the sand on the beach, too many to count
That's the kind of love I need , with no discounts.
Rainy days,
Starry nights,
A moon in eclipse
Should not be missed
When two hearts kiss
With eternal bliss.
So.....
Feel free to love, uncage your heart,
Allow others in, that's where you start
