The Death of Us...
As our friendship slowly slips away,
Anxiety and doubt fill my heart each day.
The separation forms a deep divide,
Emptiness within, aching and wide.
Once so beautiful, now just gloom,
The loss of you feels like impending doom.
The memories we shared, now just a fading dream,
A friendship once strong, now torn at the seam.
Each moment apart, a life of its own,
Leaving me feeling so lost and alone.
Our bond now withered, like a flower in the fall,
Leaving behind an ache that's hard to recall.
But through the pain, I hold on to the past,
Where our friendship was forever meant to last.
My heart still holds hope, for a reunion someday,
To chase away the emptiness and the gray.
But until then, I'll cherish the memories we've made,
And pray that our friendship will never completely fade.
