Breathing for the first time feels like a fever dream
It can chock you,
The first time I did, I felt human
A tender hand felt unfamiliar
Wiped away tears I didn't know I had
Then smelt lose a mile away
Like an ick, I pushed it aside
But I knew it was coming
I knew I'd stop breathing soon
So I chocked
Then when I did, I realised I'd been living
It felt strange to see me live
Still I knew I was chocking
I couldn't stop chocking
Then I looked back and realised
I had stopped breathing
And maybe I was dead from the start
But this time I'm the one that killed me
As I found comfort in death
