lacuna ~
lacuna ~

my tales are yet unknown,
all will unfold…

when it’s time for shadowy velvet wings to arrive,
carry me away in stormy winds;
where dusky forests meets the anxious sea.

along broken pathways,
amongst swaying yew trees with amethyst leaves...
seven silver orchids dance in the snow.

down,
down,
down,

below ancient steps, ghostly ophelias,
weeping before locked doorways, greets me.

their torn, frail shrouds billow out,
whisper my name in reverse.

//and every new mistake i’ve carelessly
made has been carefully weighed.//

[and] i stand…
painted in my regrets,
i’ve become stained
with another new curse…

while those ghostly, wretched ophelias,
evermore weeping,
feed me their obsidian tears.

five years then, drearily, seven years, past…

when, alas… upon sea-glass swans, with eyes of gold
on their cold crystalline backs, i ride

restlessly, i glide thru lava rivers
of melting suns…

beyond realms I’ve yet to behold.
