After you left I knew
My life was forever changed
As though those memories
Were stories I had heard were
Someone else's life.
Surely I have missed
You everyday since.
I look at photos to
Reassure myself you were
Real.
The years have tried
To erase those memories
But a song, a memento
Or the smell of your
Cologne takes me back in time.
I can't linger too long
Or I might get lost
Looking for you in
