Three score and ten years slipped by.
Where did all this time go, so fast?
I had so many plans, so many ways,
Ideas to change this world vast!

Where did it all go wrong, so badly?
Still stuck where I was in my twenty,
My dreams, sputter in vain, wishing
For days past when I could do plenty.

Chased the likes, eyed the comments,
Of social media posts that didn't matter.
Despondent times stand as mute witness,
As waylaid dreams crumble and shatter.
