Clean Slate
Bearing fangs like a beaten starved stray,
It'd only lead me to chasing my own tail of panic and despair,
ultimately showing my weaknesses and what I lack,
With this kind of mindset I'd only hurt myself at the end of the day,
But by trusting in myself is my ultimate true repair.

To trust in someone blindly is to truly try and love,
but when that trust stumbles and breaks there's no glue to repair it to how it's been,
But to expect it to feel as it did before is foolish, fractured like a dead dove,
And there's no amount of soap to scrub a break clean

So here may I sit, a stray and a vase alone in a room,
A vase who's scrubbed clean but cracks still remain,
And a stray who no has no growl left to say,
Wondering how to repair it too,
The stray decides it's best to just walk away,
And start off anew, fresh with a clean slate.
