I never thought we would get to this day.
The day our forgiveness eternally stays,
Because the peace we created, you can't take away.

Ive been guarding my heart like it's made out of ice,
Keeping it frozen and hidden from life.
As I heal all my stab wounds and push out the shards,
That came from the impact that tore me apart.

The past didn’t break me, not even a bit,
Don’t get me wrong,
It was harder than shit.

Now it's all over,
I can finally view,

A much better life,
