In this enlightened world
Darkness prevails
Light of hope shines
But leaves back dark shadows
In the effort to connect
The technology has made us disconnect
The irony couldn't get harder
Than a rock in salt water
Love, compassion, humility
Hidden or buried in the grave
We talk about sharing the same room
And then fight on reasons undue
Air purifiers pour out twice the smoke
Coolers make the outside air hotter
We humans brought everything
Hypocrisy and irony, the greatest of them

This world is a dark place
Irony resides in its greatest grace
Hypocrisy is the only race
Honesty feels like the biggest menace

Don't fall for this trap
Don't treat people like crap
Healing won't happen in a snap
But hey, at least we did our part

We seek bright shining lights
In a world of blinding sights
A day filled with only nights
Reality is cruel to be precise

Sounds crazy how it ended
But that's how we are descended
Humans by humans, they are offended
We are stuck in the loop now unended
