I went on a trip yesterday
gained a greater understanding of
the errors of my ways
Insight on better ways to incorporate
more love into my days
As i feel things so deeply,
it’s important to give myself grace
Time, and lots of space
as i sat silently,
tearfully
i hit rewind, all the way to first base
i couldn’t run from myself in such a state
too many hidden truths to face
and ignoring them would only be a disgrace
so instead i created a reality where i felt safe
let my tears fall where they may
i know soon, there will be fields of Sunflowers
standing tall, all facing my way.
