New to twitter and follow me
As I wander the web, feeling all alone
I stumble upon a new place to call home
I open up the blue bird's door
And step right in, ready to explore

My mind starts to race, what shall I do?
Without knowing much, I'm feeling quite blue
So I take a deep breath and begin anew
And start to create a profile, me and you

I find a picture, a photo of me
That I can use,from which others can see
My thoughts, my beliefs, and what I could be
And the profile is now set, for the world to see

Now I search high and low, gathering friends and foes
Some may share in my laughter, some may share in my woes
Some may come and some may go
But some will stay, as I barely know

The days pass by and I've built a nest
With followers who know me best
As I reach out through tweets I share
And with their thoughts I fill the air

Through others I hear and others I hear
It is like attending a symphony so near
Their ideas may be different but still pour in like beer
It is here that I find the sweetest peace, my dear

In the depths of the Twitter stream I find
My tweets of myself and my state of mind
From thoughts of politics to sports and wine
Twitter is the place I call mine

So join me now, come follow me
With hearts and minds, we will agree
We make our own stories, we'll make our own dreams
It's the whole of us, for forever it seems.
