Weighing Up
Thumbed under the humiliations of the World
I, mute as the silent witness to their cruel cold

Sentenced to forced stillness
on the precipice of bitter lies
The gluttony is alarming and I am left
wailing the whys

"You aren't good enough!"
"Why can't You be like the others?"
"Why can't You just be normal!"
"You need to keep up like Everyone"

The stern ritual unerring society holds sessions
Giving birth to unsure beliefs
and cyclic traditions

These Everest insults have claimed
innocent childhood many
I, am part of that merciless culture,
a one of plenty

So, I journey on through, protesting the truth coursing in my bones
I, try to speak for those who suffer within and thrive like stones

"Neither can I be them"
"Nor they can be me"

They fall, on deaf ears, whatever, I attempt to do
Nothing, will change only
wishful thinking that does brew

All that is left now, is to roll in the attitude of ignorance and pretend
No matter what the outcome,
I will not, to their wishes, bend

Hopefully, there will be sweet freedom,
to be mine
Till then, I will concretize my declaration,
till the end of time

I have learnt harshly, in everything I try to better, for them, it's Never Enough
Best, I play along, when society is
weighing me up
