World Peace
Had life been kinder to a few
Maybe they would have been kinder
To the generations new
But as the garden of Adam and Eve
I watch from the comfort of my safety
As the rest of the world grieve.
They grieve their loved ones
Lost unjustly,
They grieve a shelter
As it has become too costly.
The cries of my sisters
Injure my soul, I want my anger to overflow
Maybe the world will listen
For deaths are fast, a change of heart too slow.
A punctured balloon is useless to blow
But if enough angered souls
Can open their hearts,
Maybe world peace will someday
Be in the cards.
