eternal dance
Big vines along the walls
Dusts on every step in
I hear laughter in the air
Slowly turn into screams and cries
The squeak of rusty chandelier
Takes me back to the buried days of earlier
I see the king and the queen
The prince and the princess
The duke and duchess
The feast and the wine
Gaiety is the anthem
I feel something grabbing my hips
A deep gentle voice whispers in my ear, 'memories won't scare you no more'
I feel chills down to my spine
Like an old goodbye sign
The voice turning me around
Deep brown eyes stare right into my eyes
For a moment they got me mesmerized
For a moment I forgot what pain is
"Dance with me" he says
A piano starts playing a familiar yet peculiar song
My feet follow every melody
His gentle hue is my remedy
He got steel on his hip
But I got no fear of it
"I long to spend my last days here"
"I long to dance eternally with you"
The edge of his lips lifted
He says, "indeed your last days were spent here",
"Darlin' this is our eternal dance."
