Between us remains
the truth of who it is that
we are even when blood courses through,
our bodies desire takes hold of
us and never lets go
of the truth that does
dwell within ourselves;
I am not
a fool but someone in need
of love unafraid of a fate that I cannot
control on my own even now
it's between us that
hope remains true in all things
yet love is true .
I will not
let my heart be broken
even if time is,
all we have left to us in time
left me full of purpose
even now desire
is full of care;
still I never let go
of past errors of others who
have wronged me
in times gone awry .
The love
which fills me
up like never before,
makes me who it is that I am
today without a second
thought I do what it is
that I have to for my
loved one so cherished in this
world;
now I know what it is to love
unbound by laws and creeds still now
I know that true kindness does
exist in the innocent hearts
so full of life and love.
