NB: I met Joseph Gnatek on Facebook and he inspired me a lot in becoming a Poet with sauce and then I composed this poem in which I summarized how our conversation took off and also his enviable poetic qualities! I've lost contact with him but I hope he sees this one day!...

An "hello!" was not enough
To win the attention
Of this great poet
Neither was a hail apprehended.

For certainly none of these
Except a phrase
Framed from conscious confusion
Did commenced my conversation
With this great Poet.

The initial sketch
Birthed from the motion of his thumb
On the keyboard - His first spam
That i received
Ushered me to a consciousness
That such write-ups are literarily mined
From the auspicious genius
Of the 21st Century.

His skirting spams
Became spoken words
Once unleashed

His thumb i reckon
Experienced such a massive weight
Due to a continuous flow
Of grammatical constructions
Phrases and Idioms among others
To mention but a few
As they were evenly teleported
All over his body
With the brain
As the common hearthstone
Of such organized route.

Our conversation
Rode on a rocky terrain
As the apprentice of a lion - me
Forgot the common pattern
Of roaring.

One thing i had wished i did
Was to have earlier informed
My captain - this great Poet
To condescend - grammatically
To my base - understanding

My failure in doing so
Paved an opaque way
For me to luckily had grasped
Only his first message - "Hi"
Throughout our inspiriting
conversation.

Let the sons and daughters of Minstrel
Stand in awe
As i honourably dedicate
This Rhymester of mine
To DOCTOR JOSEPH GNATEK.
