Time has blown you away from me like strong winds,
I hope you don't forget what we have shared...
It seems like it was only yesterday when we were kids with dreams of happily ever after.
The fear of us drifting apart lingered on our minds and it tamed the wild flames of our hearts,
we had no luxury of making mistakes or being human...
Perfection was sought out right from the start,
doing right by each other was the mission as I became yours, your new man.
With no regrets in my heart, a glimmer of hope still tarries. Without being ambiguous in my goodbyes; I say truly,
Distance has blown away from me like strong winds.
I hope you don't forget that little magic we conjured.
