Heavy rain
Piercing through my shirt
I decide to run
But realize that it doesn’t hurt

I stand still
Letting the drops fall on my face
Staring at the sky
And enjoy the silence filling this place

I’m surrendering
Savoring the sweet taste of peace
Letting it wash over me
While soothing my worries into a calming ease

The storm rages
Yet I know that it won’t be everlasting
That the colors will shine again
And the world will forever keep contrasting

But I’m not afraid
Knowing that I can make this through
And when the sun comes back
It will bring me the rainbow that leads me back to you
