Someone once told me it’s ‘Ugly Lines on a Pretty Canvas’
But is it really?
Or is it actually ‘Pretty Lines on an Ugly Canvas’
Because that’s how I really feel
Every time I see that red liquid leak from my skin
Every time I feel the burn as I trace the sharp object across my skin
I think back to that quote ‘Ugly Lines on a Pretty Canvas’
And I realize maybe that’s the way others see it
But for me, it’s always been ‘Pretty lines on an Ugly Canvas’
