Royal Pizza
Jimmy’s the owner,
And I think he’s born again.
He’s struggled in the past,
But I ain’t sure when.
He opened this pizzeria,
To give his life a direction.
To leave the needle behind,
He makes pies with perfection.

It’s another Friday night,
And I ain’t got shit goin’ on.
I’m just drivin’ by 4th Street,
And into Royal I’m drawn.
Royal makes the best pizza,
Made in that New York style.
They all got their demons,
But they give service with a smile.

Kat is a cute little fireball,
Who has seen better days.
She’s got 3 little ones at home,
It ain’t the best gig, but it pays.
She winks at Jimmy,
I think they got a little spark.
Making pizza and love,
So their lives ain’t so stark.

It’s another Friday night,
And I’m stopping at Royal.
They always make me feel welcome,
So to them I’m always loyal.
There’s always a flurry of activity,
And boxes stacked in a pile.
They all got their struggles,
But they give service with a smile.

Nico is the delivery guy,
Who’s planning the Red Revolution.
He’s trying to fix the class war,
Pizza delivery is a temporary solution.
He writes between his travels,
Of the conflict that is to come.
He’ll thank you for the tip,
Then beat the communist drum.

Oh, Royal Pizza,
You know I’m a fan!
They just serving up slices,
For their fellow man.
Oh, Royal Pizza,
You know you fit my tastes!
Making perfect pies,
Making the world a better place!

It’s another Friday night,
And Jimmy welcomes me by name.
Sometimes I order a different pizza,
But, man, it ain’t the same.
Making pizza to fight their devils,
Or to serve the rank and file.
They all got their reasons,
To give service with a smile.
