To The One Who Painted My Silhouettes
To the one
who painted my silhouettes,
Honey or Tuscany in tints,
Making the ending bright
Though it's half-light.
Eventide's amber
Matches the other color.
Indeed forever,
I'll write your name on cream or ivory paper,
With confetti and a dream catcher's feather.
I'll jot you in my prayers,
And keep you
in a wooden vintage box of letters
Or in an antique jar,
Telling stories to the moon and stars.
Through golden and brown,
Loving you 'til sundown.
