Can you tell me why those hazel eyes
Always see right through me
Deep in my soul
What no one knows
That thing that drew you to me

I look in those same eyes and
Can never tell what you’re thinking
I get lost in a sea of brown and green
I can’t breath
but I can’t stop drinking

I thirst to know
What’s in your soul
What drives you and keeps you going
What makes your heart break
And what makes you ache
For me in the early morning.
