If I Could
If I could, I would fly,
you know how hard, how hard I'd try
But if I took a leap,
You and I know you'd weap,
Because I would die.

Humans were meant,
To crawl, to walk,
To run with all our might.
But we dont have wings,
Nor do we have gills,
The water, and air
Just isnt our life.

We can reach for the stars,
We have the minds to make cars,
To make submarines,
Canteens,
And planes.

But no matter the way
No matter the pay,
Genetics will always say
No.

We say the skies the limit,
The ocean, limitless,
And everything
And everyone
Can go.

Where we want,
No matter the trials,
Or tribulations
We'll grow.

However,
I know,
And you should to
That it was never meant to be.

Because If I could, I would swim
Into the ever ever deep,
But if I took that dive
You and I know you'd cry
Because I would still die.
