Manipultion
Goes from thinking she's in love,
To discovering manipulation.
Believing she'd never fall for these tricks and lies,
To becoming dumb and not knowing why.
Knows she wants out,
But feels trapped behind the door.
Because the emotion is still there.
And she really truly cares.
Doesn't want to hurt his feelings,
Or make anyone see him different.
But still wants out of this mess of the bed she created.
Realising now she's underappreciated.
He brings up her weight and tells her to fix it.
Too small and too skinny, but if she was bigger he'd leave.
Calls her a sex addict even though she only does it to make him happy.
No isn't an answer unless she wants asked 100 times, to finally have to agree.
He pretends to get annoyed with her for hours at a time.
Calling his mother to tell her, her words that he twisted.
Refuses to speak when there is a real issue.
Or blames it on her and makes her feel guilty and wrong.
She wants out this relationship but doesn't know how to do it.
Her words will be twisted and she'll fall back in his arms.
And then from there how will it go with him knowing she now sees what he's doing.
Will it get worse?
He makes her feel bad about herself.
Pointing out her insecurities.
But then hides it by telling her at another time she's perfect and gorgeous and pretty.
He seems like a great person to everyone on the outside.
But the mask he takes off when it's just for her.
Blames her for his anger and then when she apologises,
He takes it back and makes it seem like she is the one making this big drama.
Calls her a bad girlfriend,
And brings up trauma from her past.
But why does she stay with him,
Despite all that.
She thinks that she loves him,
Her heart belongs to him because he's twisted it around his finger.
And disconnected her brain.
She doesn't want to hurt him, she cares too much.
But according to him there's no effort on her side,
She refuses to fix her broken parts
Or at least that's what he sees.
She no longer sleeps.
It's 6 in the morning now.
While she writes a little poem to understand how.
How is she really feeling?
Does she really want to leave?
He has spoke about marriage,
And she really believes.
But how does she keep falling for all of his games?
Stop, take a minute, and breathe.
