I am scared of watching my parents hair go grey and the sound of their voice weathering away.

I am scared of getting ready for my cousin's marriage ,
putting up a lot of makeup to hide my darks spots and scars that I would try to manage.

I am scared of seeing my children in my place who would be wishing to grow up like me one day.

I am scared of waiting for the time when my bones will become weak .
And I'll be needing the support of people who would think of me as a burden to carry uptill I eat my last meal.

I am scared of witnessing the day when
I'll be stranded alone and no one will be there to ask me, if I am really fine?
How would I tell them that I just want a hug that will make me smile like the old times.

I am scared of each day passing by and witnessing change that I yearn to see ,
though it makes me nervous everytime I think about it becoming a reality .

I am scared of the time when I'll be waiting to die and there will be no one by my side to bid me goodbye.
