Solemn and subtle,
Smoking sky.
Dark clouds weeping,
From the storms eye.
See me as I am.
Sink into yourself,
Sink into bone marrow.
Drown in the pools of paradise,
May they be deep or shallow.
Kill me as I am.
Praise the sin,
For the thicker skin.
Holy are the scars,
Brought to flesh by metallic stars.
Wound me as I am.
Light in the dark,
Shadows leave a mark.
Sun of the stage,
Searchlight waves.
Burn a hole,
Right through the cage.
Free me as I am.
Paper skin,
Ink within.
It draws tight,
Around me.
Tighter and tighter,
Until I can't breathe.
See me,
As I am.
