The darkness creeps in,
A heavy weight upon my soul,
Emotions once strong,
Now reduced to a hollow hole

A freezing chill, a void,
A numbing emptiness,

Into my skin, my fear further seeps
A terror unforeseen,

The worst nightmare I've ever dreamed
I beg for a spark - a flicker - of anything
