... Don't Try To Change People...
I learned the hard way,
That changing people is like healing from heartache,
A journey only they can take,
No matter how much you wish, how much you ache.

I learned the hard way,
That change isn’t something you can force or sway,
It’s a decision, a battle they fight within,
And no matter how deep your love, it’s not where it begins.

I thought my love could mold, could reshape the broken parts,
But love isn’t a sculptor, it doesn’t craft new hearts.
I poured myself out, hoping it’d be enough,
But changing a man isn’t about being tough,
It’s about the choices he makes, the will he finds,
No matter how much you love, it’s all in his mind.

I learned the hard way,
That love can’t fix what someone won’t see,
You can hold their hand, but they hold the key.
It’s not about how much you give or how much you care,
If they don’t want to change, they’ll remain where they are, unaware.

So now I love with open eyes, with a heart that’s strong,
Knowing that change is a road they walk alone,
And though I’ll be there, by their side if they choose,
I’ve learned that love alone isn’t enough to light the fuse.

I learned the hard way,
That love is a gift, but change is a choice,
And no matter how loud, you can’t be their voice.
So I’ll love deeply, but with wisdom in mind,
Knowing that true change is theirs to find.
