What blooms?,
What spreads out like the flailing arms of an infant?
What makes the heart go thud! thud!
In excitement, louder than a talking drum.

Calculate days, calculate hours and yet
It is a very unimaginable feat to see the turning of the hour hand of a clock.
Like this, is the sudden reaction to a flower.
Captured in its moment of bloom.


In a getaway of waters.
Solely it sways, from left to right, front to back.
Like a princess moving to the sound of an orchestra.
Slowly, gracefully, shyly

Until she let go and sin in her world.
Like this, a flower in the midst of water blooms.
Surprising many, fascinating eyes.
And “wow” goes the echoes in the room.

An unexpected change
An unexpected greatness in a place least probable.
A sudden growth, that keeps eyes in awe
Such is the unexpected bloom of a lone flower.
