Beauty Fading
If beauty fades with age, words lose their allure, Unmended scars reveal the truth, raw and pure. An angel, they say, but the devil lurks within, Lies spill from these lips, temptation's original sin. Sanity lost, would you still choose to remain? I'm bad, not cool, a tarnished soul; no fame to claim.

Golden eyes turn black, hands rough and weathered, Yet, would your love endure, keep us bound together? Do not promise, for fire dies, In the cold night, it fades away. A good apple turns, too long it lies, In tarts it becomes, its sweetness sways.

I'm so foolish, believing we're one, Yet math teaches 1+1 equals two. My smile, the heart's skip, when night comes undone, Awakens monsters, emotions anew.

Don't praise unless darkness you have seen, For beauty fades, shadows remain, it's true.
