one with the stars
you had me for a moment in time,
I believe in miracles;
you were lovely,
godly,
humanly divine,
my heart became a shrine
of the love we shared,
I trusted you so much
it was hard to bare;
little moments
would take pieces of me,
like a poet
with no decency.
as you held the pieces
that I’ve lost,
you hold them in your hands
made of liquid frost—
you blame me
for the way you tore them.
the shapes you’ve made
you couldn’t endure them,
you couldn’t eat them,
you’re far too full of others;
the lies they feed you,
as they disrespected their mother,
I took back my pieces,
them returning with burns and scars,
I consumed their hot core,
I became one with the stars.
