Luck
I once wished
Upon a star
And it never
Came true.

I prayed at 11:11
But it never went
Through.

I picked an
eight-leaf clover
And she
appeared in thin air,
but a three-leaf
clover isn't nearly
as fair.

I saw a black cat
Roaming in the streets
Not quite sure what
That means,
but it sure didn't screech.

I haven't found a penny
With my birthday year,
But I will always
Be lucky whenever you're here.

I got in a
Car accident
And made it out alive,
Is it considered lucky
If I really did survive?

Such a miracle
That I have great supporters
They'd love me
'Till I die
Even if they don't
Have quarters!

The last stanza
Of this poem
Is a piece of advice,
Things happen for a reason
Don't go rolling others' dice.
