edges of buildings
Oh what a flirt.
The edges of buildings
have been flirting with me again ---
it, me, and a bottle of gin.
Dressed in my favorite night gown,
A note in my hand.
A beautifully deadly,
tempting combination.
It convinces me it's a trampoline.
My feet would sprout wings, it's says,
it will be less like falling ---
Or so it tempts.
All life will flood into my chest,
My last attempt.
Oh what a flirt,
you dangerous, mischievous,
looming temptress.
The edges of buildings
have been flirting with me again ---
it, me, and a bottle of gin.
Dressed in my favorite night gown,
A note in my hand.
A beautifully deadly,
tempting combination.
It convinces me it's a trampoline.
My feet would sprout wings, it's says,
it will be less like falling ---
Or so it tempts.
All life will flood into my chest,
My last attempt.
Oh what a flirt,
you dangerous, mischievous,
looming temptress.
