Funny how we chase our own desires,
Fueling greed, fanning fires.
In moments of triumph, we forget the rest,
Blind to the struggles, leaving the oppressed.

The pure soul, striving for all,
Blamed for the world's rise and fall.
Though it fights to heal and mend,
Its efforts unvalued, with no end.
