Get up and run
for there are miles yet to go
Get up and run
for there's a road to follow

Sometimes they will pull you down
sometimes you'll come down by yourself
Sometimes on you they'll frown
sometimes you'll need some help

sometimes you will face the pain
sometimes joy will cross
sometimes there'll be a lot you gain
sometimes you'll go through loss

But get up and run
for there are miles yet to go
get up and run
for there's a road to follow

Sometimes the road will be easy
sometimes hard to face
sometimes you'll need some harshness
or some sufesticated grace

There'll be ups and downs
like a roler coaster ride
somewhere you'll be the crown
somewhere a begger on the side

But get up and run
cause when you reach it
you couldn't be more gay
get up and run
for where there is a will there is a way
