As the butterfly softly alights on a flower

I didn't notice till it was too late 

So I fell and I fell hard

Hit my head and right there and then I knew I was done

Done with being a dangerous species 

Done with not keeping my head in the game

So I picked up my rusted weapon 

My confidence which I lost years ago 

When believe what my neighbor said  

Then I armed myself with a hard shell around my core

My wings were finally free and yu call shout out Freedom 

I flew to the highest mountain 

Again went down to the deepest valley 

Reminded me of how I endured the fire 

Scared and marked after every battle 

Yet I kept my head above the water 

Hands on deck determined to persevere 

Bloodshots in my veins 

Endless unimaginable thoughts

Unreal, I said

Pinched myself a thousand times 

To bring an end to endless dream 

Two slaps, Too many stitches 

Just to realize I wasn't dreaming 

It was an unbelievable reality

So I paused for a second 

And I said, it's all good if not perfect 

Build your castle, fix your crown

Match the puzzle, rebuild your walls

Be kind to yourself just a little bit more
