A Poetess's Reflection
In the realm of words, a poetess did dwell,
Sharing her verses, stories she would tell.
But a distraction came, in the form of a man,
Liking and commenting, his praise in a span.

Yet as time went on, his presence did fade,
No longer liking, no comments displayed.
She wondered if her poems were lacking in worth,
Forgetting her own voice, her own inner mirth.

But let this be a lesson, a gentle reminder,
That our own validation should always be brighter.
Don't seek the approval of others, my friend,
For your words and creations, they'll transcend.

So write for yourself, let your spirit soar,
The truest applause comes from within, and more.
Let not social influence dim your creative flame,
For your art is a gift, and it's yours to claim.
