Time flies soon
Time flies soon they say,
Incomplete homework in summer's glow;
Evenings were beautiful, waiting for friends to play.
Life was simple, and joy was all we’d know.

Time flies soon they say,
Holidays came, but time to play was rare;
Evenings were still beautiful, but days were hectic and gray.
Friends were near, yet studies claimed their share.

Time flies soon they say,
Holidays dwindled, playtime even less;
Evenings grew tiring, stressful days held sway.
Friends stayed busy, caught in life's progress.

Time flies soon they say,
And it truly does, in a blink it’s noon.
Figuring out life, we find, past youth’s early boon.
Holidays and friends now seem a distant, beautiful tune.
