Her heart is hardened by ridicule
and her mind stays sat on that
as she hides away from the world

she away like for looks
the one that looked good to her
but never a sign of love
not a care in her world

she didn't come from money
her schooling was never complete
not a snobby bone in her body
but a cold heart is she

what made you be cold hearted
was asked to her by me
it's the way that things are said and done
that makes her heart retreat

she's always ridiculing others
with nothing nice to say
a decision she made to combat the hurt
that others make her feel

you don't have to try to hurt others
is what I said to her
you don't understand
what's it's done to you
your cold heart is the same as theirs

if someone hurt me umma' hurt them back
is what she said to me
now she's a cold heart woman
because of the lessons she received
you are enough for anybody
most of all for me
I like who you are almost everything
I wish that you could see
what's in my heart that I know she holds for me
