In the garden of hope
I once wandered
With dreams in my heart
And a smile on my face
But then came the news
Of a silent killer lurking
In the shadows of my body.

I wrote poems of love
And poems of joy
But now my words
Are filled with worry
As I face the uncertainty
Of what the future holds

The doctor's call
Filled me with fear
As I waited to hear
The results of the test
Now my path is unclear
But in the garden of hope
I search for strength
To face the challenges ahead

I will not let this thief
Rob me of my joy
I will fight with all my might
And cling to hope
For in the garden of hope
There is always a way
To find peace and healing
And to embrace each new day.
