Missing You
Looking at this picture of us lost in each other’s eternal presence,
We were in tuned with our mind, body and soul's true spiritual essence.
We were indistinguishable and there was no greater love shared,
Then suddenly it was like being struck by a lightning bolt,
When you were taken and no longer here;
Never envisaged these lonely climes,
Left with only your memory and to reminisce about the good and endearing times,
Each night I wish on a star under the covers of the gloomy night skies,
Analyzing my life and asking the common and painful whys.
Why were you taken so soon and now I am covered by a sheet in a bed of grief stricken thorns?
Heart ripped to pieces and pining for my once sweet love that is forlorn.
The memories we shared are now scattered like wind-blown ash of lost desires,
Our life together suddenly disappeared like smoke vapors which was once a vehement fire,
My heart bleeds for a love that was cut short and now fades like a shadow in the dark,
Our abiding love now stamped in time with an in memoriam postmark.
