Carpe Diem
Carpe diem, carpe diem! A joy of the world once to live
Seize the day but not the roads, for each path a morose fin
A patriot for a land unknown, a wisdom sought, with the need to give
A madman's love or a Raven's hope, a speck of impediments within

Make not the shoulders that rests the world, an Atlas for sins unoccured
A deity of tragedy or a Sophocles play, make not of art your life's display
Seek nature's grasp for a seasonal fall of a dowry filled with sunsets unstirred
For each morning a dawn of hope where a captain's sails falls away

Oh captain my captain, your eyes are filled with a pirate's dream to hark a sail
A freedom's flag, a mutiny's curse, a sacrifice of a madman's bliss
Stood on my desk, I salute my dreams, a false pretense with much to fail
for a dead poets society is filled with nothing but an artist's dry and hateful kiss
