SOMEDAY //
I wonder if we'd meet again someday,
On a busy street, I would spot you,
Your bespectacled eyes would lock mine,
I'll avert my gaze,
As I always did when you looked at me,
I imagine our breaths hitching, as we struggle for words,
So many things to say, yet we'd remain silent,
Picture the world stopping around us,
Imagine the tension, the flashbacks- the memories and the regrets,
If we said sorry, will it be alright?
Deep down we both know,
It's all futile,
We lost each other in the tides of time,
But we'd meet again someday,
For a moment perhaps,
And in that moment, we'd relive all the memories we have had together,
And walk away,
To places we can't walk together.
