Sweetness
Sweetness will never leave my body.
I see it in my eyes,
I’m longing for a shadow on the street.
I caress my lips,
I beg for the ocean to come back.
I look for you everywhere,
I’ll make my brain dream of an encounter.
I feel it on my tongue,
Is there any sugar left?
I search for it with my fingertips,
Fairy dust on the spine.
I sense it in my bones,
Fleeting scraps of touch.
I can no longer swear but hope
For my utter desire
To be returned,
In time.
What my soul fears,
My being craves the most.
