Since the day I was born
I guess all I wanted to be was somebody
Fighting and stealing was not my idea of fun
I said it then, I say it again today

Life becomes clearer as I grow
And know nobody does what you want for you
So I till and till and value d sweats from my brow

The things I do will make you quake
But I don't care what you or others do
Everyone of our pursuits a secret to make
Where success or failure ambition grew

I will not build an empire
That will be breaking the resolution
But manageable time is my heart desire
And that is the thrust of my conversation
