Faces and Falls
I got too many faces and divisions in my character to keep up with my behavior.
I'm sickened and dying, barely surviving,
And the more I try the more I fail.
Every rung I climb on the ladder of life just brings me one rung higher for my imminent decent.
The higher I climb, the farther I fall.
I force myself into being and doing,
That which I look up to, and desire
But in the end it won't even matter,
Yet I will choose to continue changing for the sake of growing,
I'll get better and better and I'll never cease.
Halting isn't even in my mind.
I'm sickened and dying, barely surviving,
And the more I try the more I fail.
Every rung I climb on the ladder of life just brings me one rung higher for my imminent decent.

Yet I will choose to continue changing for the sake of growing,
I'll get better and better and I'll never cease.
Halting isn't even in my mind.
