I came to your life and flip it upside down
You hate me for in your life I own the crown
You try to get rid of me
But always end up failing and crying on your knees
You despise me at first
But admit it or not
In me, you found a friend
With my emotions often unknown
You will never be alone
I’m a friend in the dark
And in you, my presence has mark
My sadness is what makes you feel alive
Without me, you think you can’t survive
Because you and I, we both know
You’d rather feel sad than feel nothing at all.
