The Damsel in Distress
Within her soul brewed
A storm of unending pain,
And the tears from her eyes
Fell like the pouring rain.

She was filled with rage And unending sorrow,
She tried her best each day
In order to see tomorrow.

Like the raging storm
Should her wrath be unleashed,
The peaceful day
and silent night will be breached.

She may be disguised by a smile
Hiding behind a cheerful expression,
but beneath it all
Is a ticking bomb of depression.

With each day comes problems
That she faces alone,
With a burden on her heart
Much heavier than any stone.

Though the day will come
When she will finally be free,
No more will she be in pain
For a life much grander she will see.
